🎭 On the spot
Make it up, tell it, predict it
- Tell a story together, taking turns one sentence at a time. It begins: “That day at the post office, nothing hinted at the disaster to come.”
- Tell a bedtime story in three sentences. The hero is whatever object is closest to you right now.
- Make up a fortune cookie fortune just for me, on the spot. The weirder, the better.
- Predict my headline in the local paper: what will they write about me someday?
- Give me a new nickname based on what I'm wearing today. It stays until this conversation is over.
- Sum up our day so far like a TV episode preview. Start with: “On today's episode.”
- Tell me about the most boring thing you did this week as if it were a thriller.
- Invent a superstition that only the two of us believe in from now on. What brings bad luck, and what brings good luck?
- Explain to me how the internet, electricity or an airplane works. The less you know, the more confident you should sound.
- Take turns inventing the worst possible boy band names. Whoever cracks up first loses.
- Tell the story behind one of your scars, bruises or stains. Making things up is allowed, and I'll guess whether it's true.
- Guess what I'm thinking about right now. You only get three questions, and then we switch.
- Play the “don't say yes or no” game: fire questions at each other for one minute. Whoever slips has to make their silliest face.
- Tell a made-up story about where my name came from. I'll act like it's the absolute truth.
- Predict what I say when I see the check at a restaurant, a parking ticket or a spider. Do it in my voice.
- You have thirty seconds to convince me that the potato is the greatest vegetable on earth. Or the worst.
